Transport and Health Science Group

The THSG is currently preparing a document on public health, and particularly on the need to consider the wider determinants of health (especially transport, of course).  If you wish to contribute, please email Dr Stephen Watkins by 2nd June 2011.

A conference on cycling was held on Wednesday 13th April 2011. The aim of the conference was to identify barriers to ambition for investment in cycling and consider the value of some recent relevant investments and ideas, including the superhighways and cycle hire scheme in London. Speakers included politicians, civil servants, consultants and non-governmental organisations and there were participative workshops in the afternoon.
